Stevenson Middle School Uniform Policy

2026–2027 School Year

Tops

Students are required to wear the SMS T-shirts that have the school’s logo only, as shown below.

• 6th Grade: Red SMS shirt or hoodie
• 7th Grade: Blue SMS shirt or hoodie
• 8th Grade: Black SMS shirt or hoodie

Bottoms

Acceptable Bottoms

Students may wear:

• Khaki pants
• Black pants
• Jeans

Jeans and pants may not be torn and may not be cargo pants.

Bottom Rules

• Bottoms must be worn at the waist.
• Skirts must be no shorter than 2 inches above the knee.
• Bottoms must not have rips or tears.

Fridays Only: Khaki Spirit Shirt

• The Khaki Stevenson Dragon shirt may ONLY be worn on Fridays.
• It must be worn with uniform bottoms.

Shoes

Students must wear closed-toe shoes that are safe and appropriate for school activities.

Not allowed: Any footwear that does not provide full foot coverage and support.

This includes:

• Crocs
• Slides
• Open-toe shoes
• Backless footwear

Jackets & Sweaters

• Sweaters are optional.
• Students may wear SMS sweaters or a solid-color sweater based on their grade-level color.
• No brand-name sweaters are allowed, including, for example:
  • Nike
  • Polo
  • Adidas
  • True Religion
  • Etc.

Backpacks

• Only clear or mesh backpacks are permitted.
